Ride for free?

I just think that technology companies should take more iniative in blocking the public from piracy. It's like building an amusement park and not putting a fence around it. People are naturally going to be curious and interested and take rides for free if nobody is monitoring them and requiring them to pay for their use. A fence and a system of paid admission may not keep everyone out, but it sure will reduce the illegal use of the park significantly. In short, there needs to be more accountability on by all parties involved.

Teachers as Role Models

As a parent and a teacher, I find my 15 year old son watches and learns each day from his teachers .. not always in a positive manner i.e. "my parents do this in the classroom and in the library" so it must be legal Mom!" What a scary and eye-opening comment.

Objections

I object vehemently to the fact that every time a new technology is introduced and I really want to use it in my classes, the presenter then adds a note, saying, "Oh, by the way, foreign language teachers cannot use this."

3 Big Problems

Hello,

We are struggling with:

1. The memory progression, but are trying to remember it by simply thinking of the prefixes: kilo-, mega-, giga-, and tera-.

2. What a WIKI is and how it works.

3. How many bytes does it take to finish lunch?
